dunes properties Welcome new Agents Luiz Yamashita and Kain Slowikowski

Charleston, SC, October 7, 2014 – dunes properties is pleased to announce the addition of Luiz Yamashita and Kain Slowikowski to their sales teams on Isle of Palms and Folly Beach. 

Luiz Yamashita, Jr. began his real estate career as an investor, actively purchasing properties on different areas of the South Carolina Coast. As a multilingual real estate agent who is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Luiz has helped international investors find property in the United States. 

Before joining dunes properties, Luiz worked as a team leader in product development and implementation for twelve years at Bloomberg LP in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to moving to South Carolina, Luiz worked in their New York headquarters. 

Luiz is married to a Lowcountry native and together they have one son. He also serves on the board of Montessori School of Pawley’s Island and is a member of the Preservation Society of Charleston and Friends of Brookgreen Gardens. 

Kain Slowikowski is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and received a BA in Psychology from Salisbury University with a minor in Business. After graduating, Kain relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina where he worked as a project manager at his father’s insurance, remediation, and storm restoration company. After learning about coastal construction, secondary home maintenance, and coastal insurance policies, Kain brought his expertise to the Charleston coast and moved to Folly Beach in 2010. 

Kain currently resides on Folly Beach where he enjoys to surf, cook, and reclaimed wood from historic Charleston homes to build custom furniture in his spare time. He is a member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors®, Surfrider Foundation, and Mission Blue.
